Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
We hope that you will find the answers below to any questions you may have about our Par 3 Club. If you still have unanswered questions, or wish to send us a message, please use our Contact Us page and we will respond as quickly as possible.

Where do you play?
The Par 3 Club is based at Leeds Golf Centre in Wike, just North of Leeds.
When do you play?
We play the 12 hole ‘Oaks’ Par 3 course every Thursday morning - 52 weeks a year. Members arrive, book in and tee off between 8.00am and 9.00am.
How long does it take?
The actual round normally takes about 2 hours in groups of 4 players, but most members then retire to the club house for a drink and the prizegiving.
How much does it cost?
When you first join the Par 3 Club, you pay a ‘one off’ £3. You then play 3 matches so we can work out your handicap. Each time you play it costs £1.50. If you are not a member of Leeds Golf Centre Club, you also need to pay a green fee (reduced for Par 3 Club members) each time you play.
What match format do you play?
We normally play a straightforward ‘medal’ competition, but we do add a little spice now and again with match play, or limited club competitions. We also play for 7 different trophies awarded annually.
Who can join the Par 3 Club?
We welcome any adult male or female to become a member of the club. Many of our members are ‘senior citizens’, but we welcome new adult members of any age.
Do I need to be a proficient player?
Not at all ! We welcome all players, whatever their skill level. Our handicapping system gives everyone a chance and we have players whose abilities range from rubbish to good !!
Will I feel out of place if I come alone?
NO !! We are a very friendly bunch of people and you will be made VERY welcome. We enjoy a round of moderately competitive golf each week, followed by a friendly ‘chat’ in the club house afterwards.
Will I be given a handicap?
Yes. The first 3 times you play, your gross score will be averaged out and you will be given a handicap of up to 18 shots, depending on your performance. After that, if you play well you will lose shots, and if you have some bad rounds you will get shots back - up to a maximum 18 handicap.
